On August 17, a reading from the book “Verlassenes Land” took place in the Community House in Alfter in front of an audience of about 65 people, including many Ukrainians. Author Dr. Knuth Martens gave insight into the moving days of the aid transport. The evening was accompanied by two musicians, Diana and Maria (15 and 16) from Kiev.
Back from the summer break, the Menschenfreude team hopes you had a few nice, sunny weeks. Just like us. Some of us took a little time off, others were active throughout in the spirit of the good cause. What’s new at Menschenfreude e.V., we tell you today.
Since a few days the book “Verlassenes Land – Über Menschen und Menschlichkeit im Ukraine-Krieg” is available everywhere in bookstores and online (ISBN 978-9-403-66078-3). At this point we give you a short update about readings with author Dr. Knuth Martens. The proceeds of the events as well as from the sale of the book will go to our association Menschenfreude e.V. to support the families affected by the war.
