Aid for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria
For the earthquake victims at the Turkish-Syrian border there have been several relief actions of Menschenfreude e.V.. These included school campaigns by the Amos Comenius High School in Bonn, the Maximilian Kolbe High School in Cologne and various cooperation partners. The money raised was used to buy food and tents. Currently, we support regular summer camps for traumatized children and continue to provide food for those affected.
Ukraine Tour April 22-27, 2023 – Medical Items & Donated School Bus
“As described earlier, the requirements for the Ukraine are constantly changing. Since we last time came to Ukraine in February 2023, 2 months are gone again, more than ever the hospitals close to the front line are overfilled with wounded patients which need to be treated in an emergency setting.”
Help us to finance the minibus for Ukrainian schools
For schools in Western Ukraine, which we visited during our aid transports, we would like to finance a new school bus. For the used Ford Transit we need 10.000€. We have already reached the halfway point. Please help us reach the target amount so that we can bring the bus to the country in mid-April. More information is available here from Ukraine project coordinator Matthias Straub.
Humanitarian aid for earthquake victims – transports starting next week – appeal for donations
On a current occasion: We from Menschenfreude e.V. do not want to leave the people affected by the earthquake alone. Relief transports to the affected regions will start immediately – by truck and by ship from Greece. We ask you for donations to finance the transports and to be able to buy for the people on site. Likewise, we will be accepting in-kind donations on 2/25/2023.
Big and small: all of NRW on its feet for Menschenfreude e.V.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine and our appeal for donations, countless people have participated in our actions. Today we would like to take a look at the many ideas and projects of children and young people. In kindergartens, elementary schools and secondary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia, people are crafting, baking and even running for our Menschenfreude aid projects.

The travel report: first aid transport in March 2022
The first aid convoy of Menschenfreude e.V. started on March 8 towards Ukraine. This was preceded by an unprecedented fundraising campaign with countless helpers. In the end, a team of 24 drivers set out with twelve vans to distribute the collected relief supplies in refugee camps – mostly specially converted churches. These are very moving and emotional experiences that we would like to share with you here.
The preparations: first aid transport in March 2022
We received around 2500 boxes and bags of donations for this first Menschenfreude aid transport. Thanks to you! And that’s just great. On the farm of our cooperation partner, Christian relief organization TABEA e.V., we spent a whole Saturday sorting your donations, packing them and sending them on their way to Ukraine. In two trucks and twelve vans. Now and here: all information for you about the biggest relief action of Menschenfreude e.V. so far, which will continue as long as it is necessary.
